ACCESS STATEMENT

Self-catering accommodation

The Little Barn is approached from a single track country lane. It has a grass-crete driveway enabling luggage to be unloaded outside the entrance to the barn. Cars may be parked on the driveway or outside the gate.

The area immediately outside the barn is paved and the main garden has both a paved and grassed section. Inside the barn all floors are tiled.

Public transport (bus stop) is at the end of the lane (approx. 150m).

The owners live on site and are available to assist whenever possible.

·         Entrance - step up to double doorway. Doorway is 1200mm wide.

·         Once inside the barn, all accommodation is on one level.

·         Open plan sitting / dining / kitchen.

·         Sitting area with 3 seater sofa and footstool.

·         Dining area - square table with 4 chairs.

·         Kitchen worktop height 90mm. Drop down oven door.

·         Bedroom doorway is 720mm wide. It has 1 double bed.

·         Non-feather pillows and duvet with poly-cotton bed linen are provided.

·         Bathroom is accessed via the bedroom. The door slides open to 620mm wide. There is a step up to the shower cubicle which has flexible height adjustment. Toilet and washbasin are standard height. 

·         Remote control TV video.

·         Blinds for the high level roof lights are controlled by remote control.

·         Light switches are 140cm above floor level and power points are just above skirting level.

·         There are outside lights for access to the cottage at night and electric heaters are provided in all rooms.
